Anti-bullying

Bullying is action taken by one or more children with the deliberate intention of hurting another child, either physically, verbally or emotionally over a period. At Moss Park, Junior School bullying is unacceptable and we recognise it can damage children’s individual and educational needs.

We use the acronym STOP (several times on purpose) to help us to describe what bullying looks like.

We teach the chidren to STOP (start telling other people) if they feel that they or someone they know is being bullied.

We do all we can to prevent bullying, by developing a school ethos in which bullying is not tolerated under any circumstances. Please see our Anti-Bullying Policy for further details. We have a special Bullying Incident report form that can be completed by a child with a senior member of staff.

Please take a look at our Anti-Bullying Leaflet at the bottom of this page, which was written with the School Council.

Anti Bullying Week (United Against Bullying) is from Monday 16th to Friday 20th November in 2020 and we will be doing lots of class and school based work to help eliminate bullying from our school.
